Welcome to drchikerichking — the personal platform of Dr Chike Richking Okonkwo, a veterinarian, educator, leader, humanitarian and lifelong student of the human potential to serve and transform lives.
My journey has taken me through professional practice, public service, education, leadership, faith, community development and humanitarian work. Along the way, I have learned that our lives are not simply about what we achieve for ourselves. They are about what we can become — and what we can do for others.
At the centre of my life is a simple conviction:
We each possess a divine potential, and that potential finds its greatest expression in service to humanity.
This conviction has shaped my professional life, my leadership, my family, my educational work and the initiatives I have helped build.
Chike Okonkwo Foundation — COF
The Chike Okonkwo Foundation (COF) is the foundation through which much of this commitment to service is expressed.
COF is built around the vision of Serving Humanity and the mission of Empowering Communities. Its work is particularly concerned with education, children and young people, community development and initiatives that create opportunities for individuals and communities to grow and thrive.
Through education and service, COF seeks to make a practical difference in the lives of people — not simply by providing assistance, but by helping people develop the knowledge, confidence, capacity and opportunities to improve their own lives and the lives of others.
KOHA
KOHA is an expression of the broader vision of One Health and One Humanity. It brings together my interests in health, humanitarian service, education, faith, leadership and human development. Its guiding philosophy is:

KOHA recognizes that humanity is interconnected. The wellbeing of people is connected to the wellbeing of animals, communities and the environment in which we live. Through KOHA: One Health, One Humanity, we seek to educate, inspire and mobilize people to understand these connections and translate that understanding into meaningful action.
KOHA is therefore not only about health. It is about people, purpose, service and transformation.

My Continuing Assignment
As I enter the next chapter of my life, my desire is not simply to retire from a profession, but to transition into a broader life of purposeful service, education, speaking, writing, leadership and humanitarian work.
I want to share what I have learned from my journey — my successes and failures, my moments of strength and weakness, my experiences of leadership and service, and above all, my growing understanding of God, purpose and human potential.
I believe our experiences become most valuable when we use them to illuminate the path for others.
That is why I write. That is why I speak. That is why I teach. That is why I serve. And that is why COF and KOHA exist.
The Invitation
My hope is that this platform will not simply tell you about me or the organizations with which I am associated. I hope it will cause you to ask a more important question:
Who are you, and what are you here to do with your life?
